GLIOMA/ GBM

Gliomas are tumors arising from the brain itself. There are four grades of gliomas, with Grade I being the most benign and Grade IV, the most malignant. Grade IV gliomas are also called glioblastoma multiforme or GBM. Grade I gliomas are usually treated with surgery, while the higher grade ones are treated with a combination of surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.
